This is just an update I have finally got around to doing, all the photos that you will see below are from 2007, which was a while ago but it still looks relatively the same.
Since I bought my Torana at the start of 07, I have bought 3 other cars since then which really slowed it down, roughly I have spent $11,000 on them other cars (not being Toranas).
Now I just want to get my shit together and get it finsihed and on the road!!
Still not 100% sure of what the running gear is going to be as I keep changing my mind....lol
But I am certain its staying the same colour as what it is now, and maybe keep the 13's (just depends on brake upgrades)
The other downfall is that I bought this when I was an aprentice mechanic, AND I was hoping to work on as I was doing the apprenticeship, since then my career endevours changed and I'm pretty sure I don't wanna do it for a living.. so it's all me...which I don't know shit about restoring older cars....which is why I have put it aside for so long.
So just gotta save heaps and get thru power restrictions shit and onto the 8.
As for rust I wreckon it's ok the body seems pretty good just bad in some areas. (as you'll see in pix)
Am I correct to say that the hack job at the rear guards was to fit the flares succesfully? Or to fit bigger wheels/tyres?
Also if anyone could de-code the id tag, so I know what it was back in 77 that would be great (like original paint, 186)

Cheers

Flares can be fitted by just drilling the holes and mounting them, but if you want wheels and tyres that will fill them and look right, then the guards need to be cut.

Nice project
