Would it be easier to cover it with a fabric or somehow bog it up and make it smooth then give it a coat of paint?
What materials can I use to fix it?
Cheers
Dan

As stupid as it sounds i was considering either silicon, bog or fibreglass bog...sand the repair down and VHT vinyl spray it to change colour.

I've done a couple of DIY's - one my LJ's dash and another on an 80's toyota. It's not to hard at all on something like an LH/LX dash but UC or LC would be difficult at home because there are many curves...has anyone done a DIY successully. I have seen a few products that will melt and (???) mend smaller cracks.
Basically I just cut enough vinyl to cover the crashpad and fix it with glue and staples to the inside of it (on one edge). Then, with the aid of a heatgun and a bit of patience you han stretch the vinyl around the curved parts of the crashpad and fix it underneath again with staples and glue. Glue alone is not really enough because after the vinyl cools again it tries to retain it's shape and this usually makes it pull away and get loose from the crashpad...

Put their details in Forum Preferred Business in the traders section.
Got before and after pics?? Sounds like a cheap price compared to rares or dash original. Also did they change the colour?
