I've been ebaying around recently trying to track down a larger set of rims for my UC. Unfortuntaly i have no idea what the best amount of backspacing is; and the previous owner of my torana was too dodgy for me to assume that the current rims are correct.

could someone help me out?

A stock 13x5.5" Torana rim has an offset of +32. This means 4" of the rim goes inboard and 1.5" of the rim goes outboard. Those measurements are from the BUF. The BUF is the part of the rim that bolts up to the disc/drum.

Just a question, ( chopper may be able to help ) how does the offset of +32 equate to an inch or millimeter measurement, or doesnt it? Just curious.

The +32 offset means the BUF is 32 MM further away from the dead centre of the rim, when measuring from the inside ( brake ) edge.
