Yes, but you will need to cut out the bits of steel that go between the LJ headlights and grill, and you might need to muck around a bit with mounting tabs etc... And the LJ guards will need a bit of modifying to fit LC headlight surrounds, where the wrap around onto the side of the guard.

Don't take this as gospel as I've never done it myself, but I have seen LC grills etc on LJ's plenty of times before.

Tim is pretty right, not a bolt in fit
also LC grills are far more expensive than LJ so why are you contenplating changing?

If you have a LC use a LC grill. They are still available. Got a realy good one at a swap a month ago for $175. If you have a LJ use a LJ grill. There is no value in putting the wrong one in as it de values the car.

I am currently restoring a LC GTR that had the full LJ change over including the steel dash panel. Its been a real pain in the rear end.

Mine is an lc but has a lj front end and dash. The previous owner hit a ditch and for some reason thought they would put an lj front on. I would like to make it lc again, thats why i wanted to know if it could be done by just fittining the lc grill and headlight surrounds on.
Is it that hard of a job?

the worst part would be reshaping the guards where the headlight surrounds wrap around, it is recessed with holes for the screw clips

So Im prob better of to try and find lc front and side panels and fit them.

That sounds the easyest......just need to find them

If you are going to make the effort and fix it, perhaps you could cut the two small sections, around the headlights, that you need off an LC.

It might be easier to weld these in, than replace the guards. ( Unless your guards are not the best to begin with ).

You could also cut/ bash and weld what you have, I think. It wouldn't be too hard for a good beater.
