i'm replacing the rear swaybar on my LH with a selby kit that i've got laying about.

apparantly ,the mounting angle on the axle tubes is critical.

has anyone got the installation instructions for this? whiteline doesn't seem to think that anyone who owns a pre-commodore holden would use them

if not, any piccies would be gratefully recieved

i can't remember much about the mounting angle ... i simply fitted it all then lowered the car to the ground before tightening everything up

these are shit pics but hopefully they will give you some idea .... i've been running it like this for a few years now with no issues so either mines right or its not that critical!

the other thing you could do is use spacer blocks between the diff and bar mounts if you need more clearance in the centre of the diff housing etc ... although you really want it as high as possible so it doesn't scrap/catch on stuff.

the spacers spund like a plan. i'm having a bit of trouble with it touching the 9" in some places when i move it about.

the whiteline site says that the placement is critical, but it seems like a crock of shit to me. as long as both sides are symmetrical, it should be right, i reckon.

the placement of the front and rear mounts can be changed to alter the damping rate, just like an adjustable swaybar.

that's what i've found by trtial fitting and rooting around. only time will tell

I think what Whiteline mean when they say the the mounting angle is critical, is that it needs to be the same on both sides. Otherwise there will be a twist in the bar in the static position. This will preload the bar and one side of the car will be cornerweighted lighter than the other.
I'd put the bar on loosely (after trialing for clearance around the 9"), drop the car back to it's wheels on a LEVEL SURFACE and tighten it all up..
Can't see a whole lot wrong with doing it that way.

Cheers Greg..
