Howdy,

The 308 Edelbrock Performer Manifold has two vacuum ports tapped into the intake runners, one at the front (not needed) and one at the back (brake booster vacuum). I need to block the front one off but I dont have any bolts or fittings at home that fit.

Does anyone know what size bolt will do the trick or is there something else I can use?

Cheers,

T

It will be a tapered gas thread, either 1/4 or 3/8 NPT. You should be able to get a plug from any auto parts outlet.

its 1/4 NPT, most spares shops seem to only carry BSP these days, that's here in Syd so Brisvegas may be different

Kev - Why the hell would I want to go to New Zealand? There are enough Kiwi's un Brus es ut us bro. :P Will check out their website though and see what I can find.

Monkey - Long time mate !! I've got a Torker on it now. In fact its better than a Torker, its a MaxiTork !! It just doesnt have the lower RPM torque that is more suited to the street though, hence the swap.

Dude at Autobarn reckons I need a 1/4 UNC. Glad I asked here for some proper advice. I tried few fittings I have at home (tappered brass single outlet off a 202 manifold) and they fit but are obviously no good for a block off though.
