Hi guys,
got webers on a 186 and wondering what i should do about the pcv valve

Im thinking if i tap a fitting next to the brake booster(on the manifold)
i might have trouble with that cylinder running lean??

Im also assuming that for rego I cant just just use a "walking stick"

what do ya reckon?

edit....... its an lj

mate with an lj a walking stick should be fine. pre ADR-27a.

that or get a catch tank with a breather and run it to that like i'm going to do. i currently have the pcv going through a small catch tank and then strait down the side of the motor, next setup will be a bigger catch tank and just a vent intop of it.

so the valve stays closed untill the pressure builds up under the rocker cover?

which at a guess wont happen because the breather(assuming you got a breather cap not a sealed oil filler) is open to the air
it seems it may as well be blocked off??

the pcv is there to vent blowby. if you get blowby the pressure in the rocker cover will build up. providing your breather in the catch tank is at atmospheric presure, the pressyure in teh rocker cover will be higher. this will open the pcv valve and allow it to vent.

simple :P

anyone please correct me if i'm wrong...but it works on my setup.

I dont know about "T"ing it into your booster.
When motor is off oil could run into the check valve and cause brake dramas.
