The latest one i have records on is a Jan 1978 hatch 253V8. From memory i have seen Feb cars advertised but carnt confirm this. The UC was released Mar 1978 so Jan/Feb would be around the time of UC production.

Hi Guys.

One of my customers has a Feb '78 SL Hatch, 253 V8 T-Bar with factory A/C.

It's is the only LX I know of that has the later UC style, black ignition barrel with one ear.

Dr Terry... my Sunbird parts car also has the black ignition barrel with one ear, 12-77, but maybe all Sunbirds were like that. Sorry to go off topic, just thought it may be an interesting point.

Hi Guys.

The ADR (25A) for the new ignition barrel was introduced as law on 1 Jan '78. The chassis prefix for the change in Toranas was DLX.

In Holden production this would have been seen on the production line in Dec '77.
