mate, i use protec paints. the protec 1k acrylic primer filler is brilliant stuff. goes on fairly thick and sands back brilliantly. also is a nice tan color, most colors seem to go over this really nice. and if you ask the boys at the paint shop REALLY nicley they might even put some tinter in there to get the primer a similar color to the paint. this is good cause it not only makes it a lot easyer to get a good coverage with the color but stone chips don't show up nearly as much!! make sure you don't sand it back with to fine paper, i never use finer than 320 on the primer for acrylic.

metalics are easy to spray, but sometimes a tad difficult to get the metal flake all sitting evenly. make sure you get approx 50% overlap on each pass, and if after three or so coats it still looks a bit streaky dont be afraid to hold the gun back a bit and mist some paint over the pannel a few times in a diagonal direction. this always evens it up nicley.

and remember you will need to spray clear, clear is a bit of a whore to spray, but you will manage. give it three or four coats then thin it about twice as much as usual and give it another two coats (very carfully). this levels the paint out a fair bit and you won't have to buff it as much ;)

hope this helps a bit, if you need to know anything feel free to pm me.
