Hi, I am playing around with the idea of remaking some new hatchlid hinges, as most seem to be rusted or bent with wear over the years. If there is enough interest they will produced in the next three months or so. They will look very close to original, i have attached a sample of the stage i am up to at the moment.
Anyone who is interested or has comments, please post in this thread.

Yep, I reckon I'd be interested in at least a set, depending on price. I reckon LXDamo would be interested too.

I will ask at our next Club meeting - any idea on price?

Nice job Andrew, made some myself too.

Did you laser cut them? Very neat.

I had so much trouble aligning my hatch that I made
the 'holes' in to slots to give me more adjustment!

Thanks to everyone for their input, we are in the process of making one for the opposite side. I have a mate who is going to let my trial fit a set on his car to ensure they are correct, once this has been done & we have no problems, full steam ahead. One thing i feel i should point out, as it is very common for rust in the top roof area where the hinges bolt on, it is critical that any repairs in this area must be exact. If not the lid may not sit properly, this is your responsability. The car they are being trial fitted to has never been repaired in this area. OK, now thats sorted, the price. We envisge the cost at $66.00 a pair, i think this is reasonable, i have sold secondhand sets for more than that. Feel free to mention this to other members at you club meetings, as some members may not have computer access.

I estimate we will be making about 50 pairs at this stage, if more interest is shown, i will increase the run numbers.

Leaky, Yes, they are laser cut, thats the easy bit, the hard part is folding them.
Mick, The repro SS style spoilers are fibreglass, they where copied from an original plastic one. I looked at getting them remade in plastic, but it proved to expensive. ($175 for the spoiler)
