As some of you probably know I have a VK wagon burnout car with an injected 304 and TH700. I've been on the lookout for a while for a nice Vk sedan to put the running gear in.

I finally found one. Its been resprayed in bright orange (not really my cup of tea but its straight and clean). It's got a rebuilt TH700, shift kitted with a 2500 stally, rebuilt diff (4.4 ratio minispool), battery in the boot, surge tank, twin 2.5" exhaust and a VL calais interior.

So me and my mates towed it up from canberra and ripped the running gear out of the wagon last week. I transferred across the VT brakes off the wagon and we fitted the motor today.

It's still got a few things to do but its pretty much done. We should have it running tomorrow. I'm going to take it to the drag day in July.

Wow she looks very clean. most people would be wuite happy with it as a streeter. Looks like you have a lot of fun ahead of you.

Love the landcruiser. Just brought one for my mother and they are great rigs.

Keep the good and quick work and heaps of photos coming.

Yeh it is the one that was on ebay. The guy had street rego for a while then it ened up just being a burnout car. He reckons he took it to summernats once? It had an injected 5L with a yella terra top mount blower.

And yes, I'll be smoking it for sure!! I'm hoping to get to the burnout comp next weekend!

It runs!!! Everything went smoothly expect we had the fuel feed and return back to front. Wiring was right first go!

Now i've just gotta finish hooking up the shifter and get my mate to wire up some guages and warning lights etc.

Burnout comp on saturday is looking pretty good.

PS: Why couldn't my torry come together this quickly!? I've put about 4 days hard work into this car and spent well under 6 grand. Unfinished projects are a goldmine lol! I've been building the torry for 6 years and spent over 30k on it. *hangs head in shame*

It's going straight to hell :tease:
I'm going to strip heaps of parts of it and offer spares to mates then a mate is going to scrap it in.

We had a few wiring gremlins - there was some dodgy stuff that had been done under the dash but my mate dazza fixed it all up. I fitted the exhaust, radiator, thermos, tranny cooler, shifter, warning lights, tacho and daz wired it all up. We've been working on it till past midnight every night this week after work.

Luckily i've got the rest of the week off so I can transfer some parts between the car in daylight. I've just got to get the seat rails out of the wagon, throttle cable anda brake line. After that it should be completely drivable.

I've got a tow lined up for the burnout comp and everything.

I'll get some more pics today, its been too dark and shitty to take anything worth posting.

Thanks Harve!

ahaha It was on the way to toranafest about 4 years ago, I hung out the window of my mates car on the F3 freeway. I'll see if I can find the original, unfortunatley its only 2 megapixel or so, cameras have come along way since then.

I remember spending an hour talking to Ian about 2tough. He was blown away that I knew every detail of the car, I told him it was because I'd read his cardomain page 100 times :D

Oh yeh BTW, don't think that I've given up on the torry! It's been moving slowly, but it is coming along.. I'm waiting for a bit more to happen before I post up anything on it.

Here's a bit of a teaser though (it's only wearing small shoes)

PS: Note the L34 replica out the front? That's Dazza's Torry.

That looks really bloody clean. Love the gauges

Bit of interior work, pair of headlights and some polishing under the engine bay should really bring it up :)

Haha, good stuff!

As for your shed, awesome - a tough looking VK (I like the colour from the pics) AND a Torana that's really taking shape. :spoton:

Everything in 2 weeks!

Bad news though, I don't think I'll be making the burnout comp :( The brake booster is dead! i thought the brakes just needed a bleed, but it's the booster. We're also getting the engine management light on, we're going to pull the codes on it toda see what's going on. I don't have much confidence though, the car's just not feeling up to scratch..

Booster from the wagon usable? Definately sounds like a shame but it won't be too long until there is another comp in the near future.
