Cheers,
Tony

Maybe it's because on ADR27A Holdens there is a different engine spec between Auto and Manual, eg XQL vs HL. Also manual 308 is a different engine to auto (lack of EGR valve for example on manual).

My Ex G/F
Had a UC Torana, that had UR on the A.D.R Plate, where UC was ment to be,i rang Holden Customer Service up,they checked there records on it,and they said it was a mistake from factory, simple as that,so i say the A on yours is same thing.
But my Ex G/F still thinks she had a UR Torana, the Only One LOL,or was there a UR Torana Coming

Definitely won't be an error in my opinion. Too many of them are like it. Errors are normally confined to either wrong letters/numbers where another one should be (like the UR) or repeats in chassis or engine numbers leading to R, R1, R2 etc on the end. I've never seen any instance of an error with a random letter or number appearing on Holden ID plates, particularly this many, in the 25 odd years i've been studying Holden ID plates.
I saw another repeated HZ chassis number the other day too (on both chassis and ADR plate), ie AHZxxxxAR. I'm yet to see an R1 or R2 but they supposedly exist.
