The ALL new Springnats:

For years we have been asked for shade, garden upgrades, seating, better facilities etc well the time has came for a change. After looking at moving to another City and giving much thought it has been decided that as of November 27th 2009 Springnats will now be held at the Shepparton Showgrounds.

The Shepparton Showgrounds have been chosen as the most suitable venue after consideration of new and upgraded facilities, these include, Grandstand, new grassed areas, air conditioned auditoriums and a new hard stand surface which will cater for all the traditional Springnats driving events.

Benefits Include:
Central Location
Shaded areas
More secure premises
Much more user friendly amenities
Minutes from retail shopping
Opportunity to leave your car onsite all weekend
Brand new Driving Events Area that will far exceed expectations
No more driving through paddocks for parking

Major future improvements also include a new large indoor facility which will house approximately 80 to 100 vehicles and new shedding that will be able to be used as garages.
Once these facilities are in place we will also be able to include an indoor show as well.

Press Release: 29 July 2009
THE MONARO FROM HELL COMING TO THE SHEPPARTON SPRINGNATS
A radical custom-built Monaro which was exclusively unveiled at the Melbourne International Show will seen for the first time in regional Australia at the upcoming Shepparton Springnats in November. Designed, commissioned and built locally, the Auto-Tek Adaps Monaro has been described as the Monaro from HELL.
The vision was to keep the much-loved design of the 2005 Holden Monaro GTO but make it more radical. After 18 months of work and many hundreds of thousands of dollars, the team believe they have delivered. Every panel on the vehicle has been hand-crafted from steel, with the roofline lowered by 2 inches, and the body widened by 10 inches. The only non-steel piece of the body is a carbon fibre rear skirt.
Powered by a 6 litre Corvette engine, the six-speed Monaro is intended to be street-legal. The tyres are the widest allowed on a road-legal vehicle.
The two instigators behind the project, Auto-Teks Bob Roman and Adaps Paul Halstead, say the project was a lot harder than it initially appeared. We planned on spending a few tens of thousands, but decided the project had to be done properly. Paul says. We wanted it to showcase Australian automotive expertise and design vision.
Bob says Auto-Tek have a long history of developing concept cars that have achieved the status of automotive icons, including the Ford Arrow two-door coupe, Raptor Gullwing Ute and the famous The Beast Holden Ute. The future favours the brave. Were proud to be at the cutting edge of automotive design, engineering, construction, manufacture and marketing. The expertise we build up on these concept vehicles is directly transferrable to our Original Equipment and Consumer products and service.
The attention to detail and commitment to quality is clear throughout the vehicle. The rear lights have been retained, but with the glass re-shaped to fit the new body. The interior uses the finest quality leather and suede. And theres a real sense of pride among the team.
About Auto-Tek
Auto-Tek has more than 30 years experience in the automotive industry as importers, distributors and manufacturers of original equipment, as well as high quality brands such as Momo, Recaro, Atiwe and Atera.

Driven by passion and experience, the company also provides project management, design, warehousing and styling concept vehicles for customers such as Ford, FPV, HSV, Toyota, Isuzu and Mitsubishi.

Auto-Teks most recent venture is an alliance with Adaps to provide highly skilled automotive personnel on a contract basis.
About Adaps
Adaps pioneered IT contracting in Australia In 1976. Within 8 years, Adaps was Australias largest IT contractor services company, managing more than half of all the countrys IT contractors. Since then, it has grown into a $75 million business with 400 staff.

In recent years, Adaps has continued its pioneering work, including the establishment of the Adaps Virtual Bench. This innovation provides a pool of on-call IT Project Managers, pre-qualified, pre-screened and rigorously tested.

Working with Auto-Tek, Adaps provides high quality project managers, along with payroll and contractor management services.

Our insurer says that the car must have third party property cover and the cheapest way to have this is through registration, vechiles with there own third party insurance that some of the cars you may be mentioning must have this and are ok to enter.
