There is a book by Ron Champion called build and race your own sports car or something like that which has plans with sufficient detail to build your own one of these.

They can be registered if fitted with lights etc so maybe not a bad idea for a fun thing that can also go to the track.

Maybe one of those 4cyl nissan turbo from 200sx would go nicely in something like this..mmmm

Bonus on this Baron..its from 1968, has CAMS CoD and log book from Day 1..True Historic..probably become a family keepsake if my wife has her way...it's now her's...
My replacement is a little more complicated....like a rolling chassis F/Ford Swift with a Hayabusa motor in it that I need to fit wings and slicks to.....or a supercharged 290kg Van Dieman with 380HP...think about that for a second...Makes F1s look slow...plus some others I am looking at...the decision is far from easy.

I have in car footage of Senna getting pole at Monaco with a 1200 hp 1.5L turbo honda in a 500 kg car so it depends which era you refer to with F1..lol.

Those clubmans go alright and fairly simple to build as mostly 1 inch rhs section they do put Hyabusa engines in them in the UK so 0-100 in low 4 seconds.

I do prefer single seaters.
