HQ is 4.75" or 120.65mm and uses 7/16" studs
Commodore is 120mm metric and uses 12mm studs
Not to mention the offsets are different and the centre spigot hole
They fit....I wouldn't

Thanks for that info. I thought that Weld wheels being aftermarket rims would have centre spigot size factored in when making these wheels to suit various applications, & they also have optional offsets available. I'm curious to know why you wouldn't fit them if they do actually bolt on. The reason I asked this question is I have a set of Weld Wheels in HQ stud pattern that aren't being used at the moment. I want my car to be safe & reliable so if there are any safety issues or such then I'd just as soon source some other wheels. I'm fitting a BW diff out of a VN Commodore complete with disc brakes to my LH & to make it so I can use off the shelf parts such as disc rotors & pads I don't want to get custom drilled rotors etc & so the car has matching wheels all round I intend on fitting an aftermarket front brake upgrade in Commodore stud pattern too. I also wish to get the car properly engineered & registered with the drivetrain I'm using so the brakes & wheels will forman important part of this process & have to be done right.

Basically you can force them on but they don't actually fit properly. Depends on how tight the hole in the wheel is as to whether you will notice it, but by the time the nuts are done up tight the studs will be force to bend, even if only a little.I'm curious to know why you wouldn't fit them if they do actually bolt on.

Thanks guys, you've helped me heaps. Rather than risk broken studs & lord knows what ever consequences that would bring about, i think I'll source some different wheels with the correct PCD & offset. I was thinking of fitting commodore pursuit rims for now as i have a few of them lying around, does anyone think I'll have any problems using these untill I find a better set of rims?
Matt i have them 4x17's here that i wanna get rid off as i am olny gonna run 15's now and want some chrome rim's ( old school ) just a thought if ya interested?? look at mt thread ( LX UNDER CONSTRUCTION ) and you will see some pic's of them

Hi Lee, are they the VT GTS replicas you showed me before? I'm tempted, what was the clearence around the front guards like? I'm not fitting guard flares to my Torana so I think I'm gonna have choose carefully here. If my budget would allow it, I'd fit Simmons FR 17s
