Hi all,

l am looking at buying a Biante 1:18 scale model of an A9X sedan and was wondering what colours they were made in and what l should be looking to pay? Ideally l would like one in the colour of my car (Opaline Blue) but l doubt they made them for the rarer colours?

Cheers Simon

White a9x hatch 5000 made, flamenco a9x hatch 5000 made, valencia orange a9x hatch 2500 made, ultra blue a9x sedan 5000 made, the L34's came in barbados 5000 made, chrome yellow 5000 made, and salamanca red 5000 made, and a lx SLR5000-non flared model in mandarin red 5000 made, the white hatch is the most expensive as it was the first produced-under the biante box, the rest of the a9x's are in Autoart boxes , the yellow L34 and the mandarin SLR5000 are also in biante boxes, the rest of the L34's are in autoart boxes, ive got all the A9X's, and all the L34's except for the salamance red 1, plus ive got all the LC-J Xu1's, and 3 bathurst models- with i think about 5-6 bathurst 1's to get to complete my collection...

l didnt realise the sedans were available in so few colours, in that case l wont be too fussy

Whats the difference between a Biante box and Autoart, does it matter from a collectors or display point of view?

Cheers

Autoart make all the cars, biante rebox them as their own, but if you get 1 in the biante box- which is only the white hatch in the biante box- its the most expensive 1, its 3-4 times more expensive than the regular models as its the first 1 that was released, the flamenco red hatch is the first 1 released in the autoart label box, if its a sedan that you want you're limited to the ultrablue model, not that its a problem they look real nice, but they tend to go for a little bit more than the other hatches

The LH was an L34 in Barbados Greeen. I have it stored somewhere and will find it to verify the colour if needed.

Resraying the model is easy if you have an airbrush. I've seen a couple of modified 1:18 XB 2 doors with 6/71 blowers between the rocker covers and tubs with huge slicks under the arse. Anything is possible with some skill.

The LH has been produced in the L34 version in Barbados Green, Chrome yellow and Salamanca.. Jamaica lime was the the G' pak colour. There have been no others except for race trim L34's!
