On the rear of the LH-X at the top of the springs there is a rubber on each side.
Can you remove this rubber? What is its purpose as I could use an extra 1/2" lowering by removing it.

Any ups or downs to it?

Does the spring still locate properly on top without the rubber insulator? From memory the coil on the top of the spring is bigger than the locating thing on the body - other than that I couldnt see any issue with removing them - I think they are only approx 6mm thick anyway.

I have the poly ones and they just firmed up the ride a bit - no insulator is probably slightly firmer again.
