Ive always seen this section in the forums and like it but have never actually posted myself! So today im gonna show you my Toranas, tell you my plan and hopefully get some good constructive criticism
When I was 16 (four years ago) I bought a Gold 1975 LH SL.
I bought it for $1300 in this condition:
My Dad and myself did up the car by removing the vinyl roof, debadging it, reconditioning a 186 and putting it in with a cam, yella terra head and 350 holley, putting a borg warner 5 speed into it, giving it a respray (including the engine bay), putting an SL/R steering wheel and dash in etc...
The car ended up looking pretty nice:
Over the years thow, there has been alot of scratches, dents, eggstains, rust etc building up on it so I had planned to do it up again and also put central locking, power steering and power windows into it!
My plans changed the other week when one of my Mums friends decided to donate his LX SL/R to me!
Now all my plans have transferred to the LX
The car is looking a little shabby at the moment but its not bad for free!
Ive checked out the compliance plates and everything and have verified that it is an original SL/R
As it is at the moment its painted Aquarius and has a red 202 and an auto in it.
I am planning on spraying it red and putting the 186 out of my car into it along with an alarm and the central locking, power steering and power windows i was talking about earlier!!
All this will probably start being done in about a month or so, so i will keep you all up to date with pictures as it progresses.
If anyone has any ideas or thoguhts please let me know!
Thanks, KeNnO

Anyhow, will be lots of fun to work on I imagine, and I'll be keeping my eye out for the progress on this vehicle.
Ideas or Thoughts? Strip the whole damn thing bare as, spend your time on the body and when you get it all perfect and painted, start cleaning everything in the interior meticulously and then spray it all black and silver again, get that all looking neat and it'll come up a treat with a few extras like some new carpet, seat upholstery/covers etc.
