Hey guys, my TH350 had blown second gear and sent little bits of metal through the whole transmission and converter.
I'm now getting the trans fully rebuilt so that side of things is all good. But what about the converter... can they be reconditioned or cleaned out?

Cleaning out a torque converter?

Im pretty sure you will need to get it opened up,cleaned and rewelded by a torque converter mob.

Thought so. Any idea how much this would cost me?

Your best bet is to talk to your tranny builder. He should be able to offer the best advice to keep the bleeders he builds in good working order.

Correct, only way to do it properly and ensure no bits left behind, its a good time to up stall speed if needed too !
Don't forget to flush tranny cooler/radiator and lines as well
