Lh LX?
Put a fine blade screwdriver between the nose cone & bonnet, then tap the handle with the palm of your hand.
Be carefull not to chip the paint on the bonnet.

Take the grill out if you need to, and get to it from there...

The screwdirver trick between the bonnet and nose cone works a treat, just make sure you have a cloth or rag around a very thin screwdriver. All you have to do is aim it at the spring loaded latch. Easiest way to do it without pulling anything apart.

Easiest & least risky way is to remove the Grille & then get your hand in there to losen the catch or pull on the cable if there is still part of it connected to the catch.

A rag with butter knife. The blade is thinner than most screw drivers. Easy!

well it wasnt easy as when i crashed the bonnet tip was bent down a little. couldnt get a knife in anywhere as the gap has bugger all clearence. took the grille out and i still couldnt get the thing to pop cos the bonnet was pushed a little to one side and someone had the press away from the edge while i tapped the release knob. bastard of a job but all fixed now:spoton:

Drill 2 holes, 1 either side of center about 20mm apart.

Look through 1 and stick a small screwdriver through the other.

When you see the screwdriver touching the catch, lever slightly sideways till it opens.

When finished you can put 2 of those nice blue LED"s in the holes to flash it up and then the holes are their for next time.
