Here are a couple of pics from a Museum display. Now normally I am a fan of green cars but in this case I think i would prefer the yellow one............ :spoton: I reckon it would make a trip to the shops for bread and milk more exciting!!

I wonder what the total value of these cars is????

There was a great show on Jack Brabham on "Austrralian Story" (ABC) the other day as this is the year of the 50th aniversary of him taking out the F1 world championship
Also had a bit to do with Bruce McLaren (one of your bro's Kudu) who was great mates with Sir Jack
Had some good footage -- these blokes had balls -- no seat belts and the fuel tank was acualy built around the driver
He went on to say there was about 30 odd drivers killed in the time he was racing -- McLaren being one of them
His legacy still lives in F1 pit lanes
Cheers for the pic's

Hi Dave,

Yes they certainly had big balls then. At this display they had a lot of footage on show from the past. I felt myself pressing an imaginary brake pedal just watching them do a lap of Monte Carlo...and I wasn't even in the car!!

And yes Bruce McLaren was a mate of Sir Jack's. I believe he was a mentor who really helped him as well as a friend.

Cheers.
