What a bloody good day, the highlight was Deby Myers sitting down at our table for a chat.

It was interesting to learn they put these events on, not for the money like some promotors (food prices gave that away, $2 can of drink, $3 hot dog etc) but for the cars and people like them (The Myers Famly) who love the modified car scene.

Photos to come.....

Yeah agreed with tinkers, awesome event...

Don't agree with your comment on food/drink prices...

Its usually $3 a beer and you get export etc... they had them @ $5 and it was TEDS in a can (totally different to stubbies) and VB/4X/Carlton Mid.

Also they definately need shade sales over the bar area, we were the highest paying patrons yet had no shade at all besides the pissy tent.

Still... was a mad event... mates red VT (RF 86 WA) went hard and there was LOTS of tough toranas.

Saw an accident on way home, bloke done a runner...

I dont drink beer so I couldn't care less on their prices :P

Being a first event over here for them I am sure they would learn a few things and improve for next time.

Sure there were a few things that can be inproved, more shade, a screen for the dyno, more room for cars. Actually it is probably a good thing there wasnt a huge turn out of entrants because they wouldnt have fitted in that area set aside.

My main gripe was I didnt know what was on and when. I later forund out that the entrants were given the program (green paper).

I got given the program on Saturday morning at the caravan... maybe only the weekend people got it?

Yeah i felt the drinkers should get a bit looked after since we spend all the money, i spent $300~ + buying showbag/stubby holder/shirt etc.

Still an awesomely organised event, way better then RevHeads and i love how they split the blown cars from the NA cars to even the playing field!

Dan, you got to remember, the cost of your beer includes the cost of licensing the venue, the increased costs of insurance, the increased costs of security etc etc... Next year you can pay $6 a beer and have a bit of shade! LOL.

At the end of the day its a Car event as Mumbo says! Good to see people enjoyed themselves too! I think some more pics should be posted to drool over!

Alcohol will always haves its place at motorsport events.

Bummer none of the more well known cars like mumbo showed up, would have been mint.

No agro anywhere, no bias officials... alot better event then Motorvation & Powercruise.

Heres some of the toranas i took pics of:

I wanted to go but it seemed a bit hard when they started talking limited numbers in the driving events.
There was no way i was going to tow all the way from wanneroo to sit and watch,i did plan on coming down for a look But my mate went on saturday and i had to work.
Maybe next year

It was just limited numbers PER driving event so that had different heats etc and total 200 entrants for the whole show... will be expanded by next year. 5 year contract to which is awesome and i'd say they'll keep it going.

Josh, Gav is an old member from here and he still owns the plates, the hatch is not registered, the plates belong to his Maxima for now.

You'll have a ball mumbo, especially with a car as nice as yours.

One of the best things was, there was no agro, not even the signs of it from drunken people!

You might all remember Gav's old red sedan from Motorvation 5~ years ago, hes mates with quite a few people here in real life... used to live up the road from me in Kardinya.

Looks like it was an awsome event.

I spoke to a mate today that reckoned it was the best show he had been to but it is probably because
A He has never been to Summernats
B One of the cars he tunes won the dyno comp in its class = a brand new F6 Turbo 565 rwhp

Great to hear that it went well hopefully the moons{my roster} will align next year.

Garth

A lot of people made that comment.
