I know a few guys here use these rocker covers.. ive just got mine in the post, and it has no baffles in it.. bar 1 piece of thin steel that doesnt resemble a baffle at all. How does this work? Does it go on the filler or pcv hole? Whats to stop it falling down into the roller rockers?

Can someone help!

thanks mate, but the baffles im talking about go inside the rocker cover, to stop the oil from splashing out... this rocker cover has nothing inside, no way i can see to hold the dodgy bit of steel in!

what the!

yeh i saw that, but what im trying to find out is what other people who own one of these rocker covers have done to baffle theirs... did they use the bit of steel that came with it, and if so, how?

What you have is correct. You push the piece of metal down lengthways inside the rocker cover (i.e. over the hole you want baffled). I had trouble with the chrome one shooting oil, but ill tell you now, this one works. And once you've put the piece of metal in - you will realise it wont fall down!

That a design that looks too simple to work - but it does!!

keith is correct, with the rocker cover off the engine, you push the thin plate down towards the hole. Make sure not to push it all the way down so that it almost blocks the hole, just leave a few mm gap. Its designed to grab onto the sides of the rocker cover so it wont fall out. Ive also got one on mine, had it for years and never gave me any probs. Its worth it as it stops the oil being sucked up through the pvc valve.

there's only one pvc which is on the rear of the rocker cover, thats the one you put in on.
