Im not sure where this is ment to go, and until the admins move it I'll know. Now cut to the chase. Mum has a steering problem, when she turns left, it is making a large clunk noise and bang noise, she's not game enough to take it to work today, the car is a VS Berlina S/wagon. Would it be power steering? Or the bushes?

Any help would be great

First thing I would do is get under the car, pull and shake vigorously on all steering/suspension components to see if anything is loose, include the exhaust pipes when you do this dont rip the exhaust off though lol.
If that fails. Check the power steering fluid levels etc and finally get a mechanic to check if all else fails. Some faults really only show when the car is under load.

Cheers

Liam, Should go in the general tech questions area! SO i'll put it there!

Sounds like a dodgey power steering rack, I'd suggest going to a specialist steering place and having it checked over!

Cheers
