Hi there all,

I did a search and found no mention of IRS (independent rear suspension) at all, does anyone know if it has ever been put on an LH/LX Torana.

Would it be possible to put a commodore IRS system on a torana (diff, axles, cv joints etc) and have it all work properly.

I am interested to hear some different ideas and opinions on this.....

Cheers Rhubarbdude........

The guys in the Van brigade used to graft in an IRS from an old Jag but not sure of any benefits other than the "wow" factor.....

Last time I suggested it was not worth the effort I was burnt to the ground.

Jag IRS is a shit house design, if your going to try it start with something decent.

A mate just finished putting one in a lc/lj, its easier if you cut and graft in the whole floor pan. Bit of a pain for something that probably isn't going to be that benificial unless you are driving it to the limits.

It cant be that much harder than a half chassis and a four link, and plenty of those have been done.

Regardless of the benefits,if it makes you smile,I say GO FOR IT!!!!
