well ive copped the short end of te stick and i have to put a hotdog exhaust i found at the tip on the torry. this isnt one of those joking bets either my mate was gonna get big gay spinner hubcaps for his pulsar if he lost, so its no way out. my question is, where does it go? i know which way to put it but im not sure how far down it goes or if it matters.

ill stick some photos up of it too.

If you're not going to replace the muffler with it (probably a bit loud), then I'd say put it after the muffler, close to the tailpipe if possible

Where does it go ????????? ' hot dog exhaust ' BACK TO THE TIP .!...... worst things ever,
but if you must use it, doesn't really matter where along the exhaust it goes...

When I bought my car it had hot dogs for mufflers and they were riddled with holes.

Yes you could hear it a block away.

Place it after the diff, next to the tank for no effect.

Poke your exhaust out under your front o/s door and weld the hotdog on the end.

Discard everything else, you dont really need the rest anyway.

Just replace the existing muffler with the hotdog then.

You can have what ever you want on the exhaust, it is the final Db coming out of it that makes it legal or not.

FYI if you fit the hotdog but do not remove any muffler present in the system now, you will get no change in noise... what do you want???

Yeah, a quieter noise, a hotdog is a muffler (of sorts) and if you add a muffler without taking one away it will be quieter lol.

I replaced my single muffler with a hotdog on my old Gemmy wagon. It had 2 'quiet spots' and 2 'farking loud spots' through the rev range.

The note was a bit harsh but i liked it. Once i got used to it i could just drive in a 'quiet spot' if there was cops nearby. They either muffle the sound or they amplify it depending on revs/throttle, in my experience anyways..
