Well at toranafest I was talking to Chris (ass308) and Lee (LJ355) about getting the cars out for a cruise as the weather gets a bit warmer.

So I thought Id pop a thread up and see if anyone else would be interested and throw the door open for some proposed dates.

I was going to suggest a Wisemans Ferry run, but it is probably a bit long (Id probably run out of fuel!) and being a twisty road, isnt really suited to a few peoples cars.

So Im thinking maybe a repeat of the cruise we did about 3 years ago. Thornleigh maccas to Terrigal via the old pacific highway.

I figure if we can get a cruise in october and then another in november/december as a christmas run, it would be great!

Im in!

I did the wisemans ferry run about 2 weeks ago with a few mates on their bikes up to the pub for lunch. Torana made it in one piece, bout 200km round trip from liverpool. But as you said chris, there were some roads which were not very fun at all.
If you decide on something ill probably come along.
Keep us updated!

I'm keen depending on dates. Need time to spray and put the LJ back together.

If the torana isn't ready i would still be keen to come along and meet some forum members.

hahaha, that was the first cruise I ever went on, and the first time I ever met anyone from GMH torana.

I think there was-

Keith in his SLR, Mick and friends in his LJ, Joanne (doesnt come here anymore)in the pink flared LH?, Kirk in the poo brown EH with the primered scoop, me in the LJ and Josh in his old hatch that he now misses like a missing testicle.

Wasnt a bad day out actually (except the parking situation at terrigal)

Saturday or Sunday?

I can do both, but Sundays usually suit more people.

tentative list-
orangeLJ- Chris LJ 4 door
mitchg- Mitch LX sedan
LJ355- Lee LJ 2 door
Ben- Ben
SNAPT-
72ELJAY- Andrew LJ 2 door
Kranke-
ASS308- Chris LX hatch
White Knight- Keith SLR
Unnamed feeling-

Im thinking the 11th or the 25th of october are dates that would work.

I need the weekend inbetween free to keep my testicles attached to my body (aniversary is the week before)

What dates work for everyone else? throw up some suggestions (even early november would work)

Im going to work on a route and some stops. I might see if I can organise a BBQ somewhere on the coast for us to finish up at. If the weather is nice enough, there are a few parks I can sort something out at.

hahaha...i remember that cruise as well, pretty sure that was one of my first meet ups with peeps from here as well...the LJ was actually running pretty good at that stage - now it hardly runs at all lol. Cant wait to get it in the backyard and rip it apart!!

I could do the 25th october & any weekend after up til late November, but will be in the Berlina if i come along

I'm definately in now as my car is running and i can do any day which isn't the 24th or 25th of October all other days are fine but that weekend is my wifes 30th and i will be most likely still very drunk on the 25th therefore driving would be a bad idea

I'm keen to join in.

The 11/10/09 is the Bathurst 1000 so I don't think that would suit many people.

The weekend of the 24-25/10/09 sounds good.

Mick.
