The SL/R is mine.
When I left in the morning she was shuddering all over the place when taking off [and was fine the night before], felt like it was running on 7 cyls, checked all spark plugs and all cyls were firing.

Checked tranny fluid etc. at Mt Cootha and then drove it to next stop, was still shuddering.
Started to have a look at it up there and alot of people had a look.
Was idling fine in Neutral/Park, drop it into any gear (reverse/D/1/2) and the car was shaking and a loud knocking sound could be heard coming from back of the engine/gearbox area.

Alot of people suspected a loose torque convertor, so the car was placed in a gully area as a 'bush-mechanics' car-jack to tighten them up [as seen in the pic].
The turned out to be tight and not causing the problem......

The problem was the extractors banging on the front sway bar causing the entire car to shudder and bounce, I suspect bottoming out on a speedbump at my local ice rink the night previous was the cause.
The damage on the nosecone has been there for a long time, a result of a hand-brake self-release, haven't yet spray painted the nosecone in the garage to replace it.

Many props to the guys for the help so I could continue onto the next stop :)

I have some video and pics which I will post up later.

I know what that's like Loki.
Had the same prob with my car untill I got the engine mounts replaced.... you can still see where the extractor pipe is pushed in from the sway bar it was that bad.

Great pics, looks like you had a great day for it.
