
Power figures 308

just wondering if any could tell me what sort of power (HP) i could expect from this motor:
308 black motor, bored 030", honed, decked
acl race series forged pistons
black motor rods
l34 heads, tufftrided valves, mild port and polish job
roller rockers
286 crane cam
pacemaker extractors
torque power single plain manifold
twin 45mm webers
any opinions/thoughts appreciated

what he sead is what you get i just built one identical useing the same parts except for the weders, 650 dpumper for a mate and thats all you get topsmabie 280 to 300 hp is my guess has in been raced before if so what mph in what car

308 60 thou
standard rods
standard pistons.
head slight port
big valves,
edelbrok manifold
650dp mech sec.
extractors.
standard rockers.
i got 192 hp at the rears and 13.9 quater with 2.78 diff.
yours should be a fair bit better than myne.

Should get the engine onto a dyno for run-in or take the old girl to a dyno dynamics dyno.... Now with the twins and the crane cam you have, i would estimate about 250HP at the fly wheel/flex plate.
Again, this is just going off the specs you have posted... I'm sure there are folks on here who have had similar setups (in their days!!!) who would happily quote some more accurate power figures!
