I've always preffered the sound of a 2 1/2 inch single system, just my personal choice with 253/308's.
I agree, particularly with stock/mild engines.
Cheaper too !!!

Sounds better, looks better.
Single system was a little more droned before the change.
Performance wise, I've heard 2 into 1 systems are better for stock.
But that sounds like myth to me.

to answer your original question of how does a twin system on a Holden V8 sound compared to a single system, its simple. A twin with sports mufflers sounds like a TORANA!!!!, the single sounds like, (just another commodore).

Its obvious some people like the sound of twins other like single. the only one who can really make the decision for you is you really as you have to live and drive with it.
When i first got my torana at 17 i hated the sound of twins and went to a single system. now that i am in my 30's i dont like the sound of singles anymore and will be going to a twin again. So sometimes tastes change with age too.
Go with what sounds good to you
Performance wise I feel twins with a GOOD cross over work better on worked motors but it also comes down to exhaust size too. I had no probs with getting power out of the single system either.
