Please read my last post ont page 2 b4 this. Also just rigged up the car so we could start it n the pedal that was hard, went straight to the floor, does this confirm the reaction disc?
Has any one got pictures or diagrams of the booster so i can get in my head whats going on here?
Cheers Waz

Reaction discs are a couple of bucks from most brake shops.

And yes I suppose the missing disc could have been the reason the pedal was so low to begin.

No that doesn't confirm disc. Sounds to me like you may possibly have a leak somewhere letting air in, or maybe a faulty master or booster??? You've got some weird sh#t going on here dude, you may be best off taking it to a brake specialist.
Datto might have some better ideas???

Thats the disc allright. Is it solid and cmopletely circular, no cracks?
Do what dattoman said and use some grease to keep it on the piston while you feed it in.

I would also sand that rust away fron te centre hole of the booster. That way the rubber seal will make
a better seal with the help of some rubber grease too, also grease on the shaft.

Did you ever replace the brake lines?

G'day All
I have an issue hope someone can help

I have an LH Torana with Hq Stub Axles, HQ Girlock alloy callipers on Commodore Rotors.
When the callipers are mounted in the front postion you can't fit the steering tie rod end in.
When the callipers are mounted in the rear position the calipers open up on lock, with also gives you less turning circle.
I'm looking at getting the Harrop sterring arm, but don't know if this will help. And I don't really want to grind standard parts.
Is there away of performing this task or do I have to upgrade to twin piston set-up

The steering arms may help if you can almost fit the calipers on the front at present, because it will drop the tie rod end a little.

If you have tie rod ends with grease nipples in the top, you could try getting some sealed ones or tracking down ones with the nipple in the side for extra clearance.

The other option is to change the caliper, HQ-WB had at least four different calipers and some fit better than others.

Nar mate, have only replaced one guard to caliper line coz it was worn. Will fit reaction disc soon, is it as easy as you say?

Yes it's easy as. Just use the Vaso or rubber grease to hold it in place and take a bit of care fitting the master back up.

Remember to re-adjust your pushrod too.
