Hey guys,

Most of you probably read my other thread about me replacing the derelict shed I had. Well the weekend just past was the big day (two days!)

First of all, I have to thank Ryan (MR5000), he came over all weekend and helped out! MASSIVE thanks to him!! My old man also put in two solid days work, and was pretty much the foreman onsite! LOL. Had lots of helpers which made the job a lot easier (Still not easy though)

Spent all weekend on the shed! So bloody sore now! My office hands/body ain't use to it!

Started with

Pulled that sucker down!

Then up goes the new one!

This is where we are up to.

Things left to do;

Clad the end wall
Clad the front wall and work out the roller doors
Do all the cappings and stuff to finish it off.
Put the gutter on the PA door side and plumb up

Park the Torry's in there and get my mate to come and connect up the power!

She looks the goods Matt, but you missed a couple of things off of your 'To Do' list.

1. Stock the beer fridge
2. Build a bar
3. Move the TV and couch out to the shed
4. Turn shed into a time machine so you can go back in time to Friday and watch Holden kick arse at Bathurst in your new shed with Beer and Toranas close by.

On the inside of the roller doors you should get a couple of those big heavy metal poles to stop the worst from happening. My neighbour got them for his twin turbo valiant, saved his car once.

Spewing that you didn't start this when I was down. I love demolition. I fact that's what I do part time.

Looks great Matt. Now to build some benches, get some clear tubs and get organized.

I'll have to put up a thread of my new workshop...

HAHA! Yep, I'm fully qualified now! And ryan... That was your string line end! HAHA! I was just on texta marking duties :tease:

Yeah, I will be looking into something like that. You can never be to safe! We are also getting a Rotty soon! So that is extra security!

so you ended up buying a kit shed?

Yep, Kit shed from Sidach Sheds. came to $6688 all up delivered. Thats with everything we needed (Besides silicon! HAHA!). When i weighed up what it would cost to build myself. It was going to come to like 5k and take me a lot longer and not be as well built!

Yep!Thats the plan! I need to first get the concrete surface right! I wantto smooth it off and make it level (its a bit out as you know). So oncethat is right. I will be building in my workshop and organised storagespace!

Yeh, i wanna see pics of this new workshop of yours! Will it fit a hoist??

Oh, and your a prick! payback is coming...

Looks like it will be a great shed.
What are the specs ?

Hey doogs,

Its7.9m wide, 8m deep... The two roller doors are 2.770m wide, and theyare offset in the gable end wall. Then the side access door there, willlead into my workshop area! Also got two polycarb bits of roofing, andthey make a MASSIVE difference in the lighting! I think westrategically placed them. One on the South West side, for theafternoon winter/spring sun... One on the north east side for themorning sun. Also got the sisalation for insulation under the roof tohopefully get the heat out in summer... But only time will tell if thatwill work.

Anyway, last night We managed to get the backwallup! Still have to trim the tops and fit the capping, but from the backnow it looks complete! I parked MRLXSS in there this morning, toprotect it from the heavy rain thats expected over the next couple ofdays!

Tonights job (gotta skip this months cruise night :( )is to work out the frame work for the roller doors. I have it nuttedout, just need to hope it works (The instructions are prettyordinary... Gives you a picture and basically says "do it like this")
