Anyone had any issue with loading onto car trailer while on rotissery? As long as they are long ramps should be right?

You would have to tie it down well, as the centre of gravity would be fairly high. I'd be concerned with it toppling off. Is it possible to load it on the trailer then drop it off the rotisserie? A little bit of pain, but may stop a whole heap more pain. Siick a blanket down to stop unnecessarily scratching the underside.

Hmm well the centre line of the car would still have to tilt more than 3 feet... I'll work something out, maybe take the drain plugs out of the floor running rope/straps through it will fix it moving.

Cheers Yella.

Not quite a trailer but I had mine carted all over the place on a tilt tray.
The rotisserie had the link bar underneath and and castor wheels.
Id be loathe to load/unload it from a trailer or tilt tray without one as you use the lower brace of the rotisserie to attach the winch.
The car went really well on it - rotisserie chained to the deck and ratchet straps through the door openings to the deck.
To be sure I also chocked the underside with some axle stands the first few times but learned it didn't need them.
Like anything, go carefully and slowly and all wil be well.
Cheers, TB

Your not going near a weighbridge by any chance? I wonder what a bare shell weighs? The don't seem that heavy.

I had a go with the design listed with a few more detailed photos I hope this helps other people with there projects.

One question tho the front arm that goes out under the car should it also have a 45 degree stay on it for stability also?

One last thing I would advise you make a plate to goto your flywheel as it is cast and hard to weld too even the engineering place I went to said they would not trust welding to the flywheel so I made a plate and welded the pipe to the plate then bolted it to the flywheel with hi tensile steel bolts.

Hope this helps.

Hi folks! Awesome plans here and got me thinking about having a go at one. I have sone 50x50x2mm handy do you think this would be strong enough? Or am I better to try and find something 3-4mm?

Get 3 and 4mm. Not worth the risk of dropping it.
