Hey guys,
ive got an alloy drop tank to go in my lc. Its basically the same as an xu1 tank, id say almost exact dimensions, about 65-70L. The sender is at the back like an xu1 tank. But the sender thats in it is something someones just thrown in there to fill up the hole, ie its not the right one. I know theres no chance in finding an xu1 sender, and i probably couldnt afford it anyway, but i was wondering if anyone knew exactly how to modify a standard sender to make it work.

Or could anyone that has an xu1 sender out of their tank, take a pic of it for me so i have something to look at as i modify mine?

Thanks a lot,

A1

There is a good pic of one on the rare spares page

look under fuel tank sender unit torana

There is a picture of a standard one and a XU-1 so you should be able to compare the difference

hrm ok, just as i thought basically. Its probably easier to buy that xu1 sender ($104) than try to modify a standard one.

If i post up the measurements of my tank tomorrow, and maybe a picture, can someone measure theyre xu1 tank for me, hopefully theyll be similiar, then i can just get the xu1 sender. Oh i didnt see its strictly change over only... what to do!

Does anyone know a place that makes/modifies sender units?

Cheers,

ok guys, heres the pics of the tank, forgot to get measurements, but as you can see its a similar size to an xu1 tank. Only half polished so far.

Still need a sender!!!!

Try autobarn they have universal senders, i had to get 1 for a autometer gauge they're fairly cheap and come in different ohm ratings to suit various gauges

A1,
