I bought a booster from the wreckers recently however it is smaller in size (not diameter) than the one that was on my LX SL 202.

The old booster is part number PBR VH 346 which from an earlier post I believe is a dual diaphragm bent rod V8 booster (where these ever standard on a 202?)

The one I bought from the wrecker is part number PBR VH 246. It is not as thick as the other one and the rear rod is straight. The front rod (that goes into the m/c) has an adjusting screw on it. On a post that listed the booster part numbers, this one was not mentioned. Any one know what it is off?

Cheers,

Big T

VH246 is off a 4 wheel drum LX.

VH346 is off a 4 wheel disc 6cyl UC.

Hope this helps.

Cheers, thanks for that.

I'm getting the VH346 reco'd at BHSS in Brisbane. Even though it is for 4 wheel discs will there be any dramas if I'm running drums at the rear and discs up front?

The VH246 is no good to me as the rear rod is straight, so that one will go back to the wreckers.

The 346 will work fine as drum rear
It only provides assistance to pedal pressure so bigger won't hurt
