Q2 has any one got any informasion on a crossmember to fit ?

Q3 Looking for a good flywheel and clutch combo ? I like the yella terra ultra light flywheel but the clutch not to shor 10, 10, button, no buttons, just not shor any good advice ?????

1. no it wont you will need a new speedo head to fit into the tremec.

2. Mal Wood automotive is where I got mine from. You can get the speedo cable from there too.

3. I had a Yella Terra lightened flywheel and just a heavy duty 2800lb pressure plate and standard type clutch. Was fine for street driving. Could dump the clutch any time if i chose to and wouldnt fry the clutch. If you are racing it ALOT then I would go for a full button or a cushion button.

About the clutch if money isnt a problem then i would go for a mallwood twin plated clutch that looks choice but then again only if money doesnt worry you. I will be goin for the ACE 11'' Premium High Performance Clutch in my tko 600 im buying from mallwood

Well money is the problem, but my goale is to get the best from my money for my cars ability. My goale is 500HP so I think the TKO is money well spent in the long run. My goale was a 10 year billed or less with 9 year left so if it takes more money to get it right so be it (just add a year) But all the info from torana .com can get you a long way thanks.

So 11 clutch will fit on a holden fly wheel ok ? I thought 10 was about it.

Eveyone buys from mallwood but each time I have ring him the price is, well I think we can do a lot better.

Thank for the info great.

You have to remember the gearbox alone is worth about $3500 - $4000 alone. Then he has to put on mark up to make a profit etc. And all the bits that go with it, crossmembers are made in house so there is fabrication and labour work. And lots of custom parts. Parts which aren't cheap. Yes his prices are up there, but for the peace of mind and the excellent service, technical help and quality of parts I wouldnt go anywhere else.

And as for my TKO 600. I love that box. It is the best box I have ever used in any car. Very nice to use and play around with or just cruise with. Shifts are great and direct and nice and close. As I said in the other thread I am looking at a T56 Magnum 6 speed. Its the newest version of the T56 that can hold 700lb of torque, so its stronger than a TKO 600 (not as though that is weak - a box capable of withstanding 800+ Nm of torque isnt what you would call weak) but mine will be behind a big block chev and a 6th gear cant hurt. But I imagine being a brand new box it will cost the earth so I probably wont sell and keep to my box im extremely happy with. Remember that it isnt power that kills boxes its torque, so you could easily put in a TKO 500.

Hi
The old man just bought a t56 magnum for his bigblock comaro he bought it from america but in the long run the price is a little bit different but he orderd better things like a twin plated clutch and stronger stuff so its pretty good if u ask me. by the time he gets it here the price difference will be about 2000 if that. most definitely will be less then that.
Also what parts have you got in your tko 600 Aggro

I am sore Melwood has an excellent product and excellent service which suits most people. For me its go out side the box and see if there are any other options. For ensample Melwood steel bellhousing about $900 I mad one cost $0 the clutch peddle and box with master cylinder about $550 I will use a Toyota land cruiser master cylinder new on eBay $54 mounting under the dash an putting the reservoir bottle out on the firewall. Sorry if you took me the wrong way and thought I was bagging out Melwood but as a family man with 4 kid Melwood is over $7000 for all his bit, but I think under $4000 it will cost me.

So my ears prick up when some one has a good ideas on torana.com. Your positive feed back on your TKO is good to, as I was wondering about how they change gears.

I got my Magnum T56 from jeggs a month ago, all up the box cost me under $4,000 including delivery and dollar conversion. Got a DFX centre force clutch (11 inch) for $700 and a VE hydrollic clutch pedal from Mortor Field for $165. So you can do it a lot cheaper. You just have to shop arround.

When you say VE you mean VE commodore? So you are putting the whole pedal and master cylinder in? Will this be under the dash or out the fire wall?

If it under the dash could you tell me the bore and stroke, as I need a bore and just over 1 inch stroke. Good luck with the box

The VE Commodore pedal comes with a built in master cylinder like the Mal Wood version, you need to modify it. But its all there, just need to buy a hose and small golf ball type remote reservoir. Its all under the dash except the remote reservoir, it goes where you want it.
