G'day guys thought it was time to put some pics of my cars up, they are not toranas but i still freuqent the site since selling my torana(HB coupe) as its a wealth of holden 6 info which is my current weapon of choice.
so first is my HD ute daily driver, 179, corona 4 spd, just finished fitting the autometer dash which i reckon came up pretty good, will be moving the cd player to the glovebox and refitting the radio blank for a cleaner look. next will be putting the new motor together. 186, yella terra head, not sure of cam yet, and triple webers

and here is the beige bandit, sedan project. i've had this car for years, and it sat in my garage in sydney for a few years, then i moved up to townsville and had it stashed at work, finally made room and dragged it home so i can do bits and pieces on it, wont be able to do any serious work until next year. plans are still up in the air at the moment but i have decided on going with a 1uzfe quad cam toyota engine.

That's one hell of a daily driver! Interior is gorgeous, would love to see under the bonnet.

I saw a Lexus V8 in a HK a couple of months ago.

The crossmember had been trimmed down to about an inch thick (which was a little questionable, despite the re inforcing) and the engine covers still rubbed on the bonnet.
They are a very tall engine.

Are they similar to a 1uzfe?

I bought mie for $1000 with bell housing, computer and harness, mine was a VH41 but they come in VH45 (4.1ltr and 4.5ltr) Cranks are interchangable if you need a lower capacity block VH41. :sofa:
If you want big hp from a VH engine Nizpro in Victoria are the ones to talk to or get advice and general info on these.
If you get one specify you want a VH out of a Y32 car as these were the superior version from Japan.
SSS can get them

i believe that would be a 1uzfe. i am going to use a crs crossmember which is trimmed down similar to what your talking about too. they are a tall enging but i think it will fit in ok. heres a link to a hr i came across while googling. 1uzfe powered

Prob easier than a Nissan V8, they are a bit wider
Particularly hard in an LJ lol

a bit of an update on the biege bandit project, was meant to bring it back home this weekend, but a shitload of rain and several other household disasters stopped it from happening, so after a c$#t of a weekend i thought i would cheer myself up by bringing some bits home that i had stashed at a mates place
