1, Buy an unknown dissy with unknown performance and reliability from someone who has the spelling ability of a six year old (if the ebay site is any indication). Spares probably only available from the six year old.
or
2, Use a Bosch HEI from a blue or black six, a dissy that has proven itself by outperforming the majority of aftermarket units. Pretty good reliability, parts available everywhere - remember they were used on other cars besides Holdens. Familiar to auto sparkies and mechanics everywhere. Cheap and plentiful.
It's up to you.

Thanks they sounded a bit cheap for my liking. There's also the procomp dizzy's as well but I keep hearing different things about Pro comp.As I have never used any of their equipment I can't make any judgementsThe way I see it you have two choices:

DO NOT use Procomp distributor's, they are junk.
old man was using one with a mallory hi fire 6, half way down the track, it would shut down for 4 or so seconds, then come back to life.
it was fixed when we gutted a 265 hemi distributor and put the guts into a procomp dizzy body, works great but they are getting a little hard to come by.
cheers kevin
