Hi all,I hav,nt been online now for about 5 or six weeks ,so its good to be back on.Iv,e moved house ,about 30 kilometres away ,the next town to be exact. We moved all the furniture and boxes and sofourth and the last thing to go was the LCGTR ,it has,nt been running for a few years and i didn,t really want to fork out for the rental of a car trailer .So i filled the radiator ,replaced the battery ,put air in the tyres , and changed the oil for the trip.Oh and the car has been unregistered for years now ,so i got a permit from point A to B on a certain date.Anyway she fired first time and apart from the carbon monoxide coming into the car from the gap between the headers and the pipes ,it drove like a dream ,well it did overheat a bit.It also had the front and rear screens removed so i used an ocky strap to hold them in ,worked a treat.Shes now in her new home waiting a full resto. On the 12TH of never .

i had a similar scenario. Old lh v8 253 that i hadnt started in 7 years. Topped up the water and oil, disconnected the coil and kicked her over a few times to get oil pressure, reconnected the coil and she started first time and was idling like a dream after one minute ( with no exhausts :) ) Absoulutely amazing! The rear drums had seized but.

cheers julian

Thats all the encouragement i need to try and fire up the parts car... i am sick of pushing it around.

Just gotta connect the tailshaft, fill the trimatic with fluid, bolt the start motor in and put a battery in.

Hasn't been started since 2002.

Steve
