I use Brite-shine on all the chrome an polished alloy on my car

A lot of people will probably recommend Purple Polish, I've never tried it but I get the impression that's pretty good too.

Its good stuff.. there is also one called Liquid Reflections which is probably its equal.

Try the purple polish with a little bit of kero on the rag when you do it too..

Would also suggest Purple, we use it at work sometimes, works really well the panel beater next door gave it to us and he uses it on all his chrome and shiny bits lol.

Autosol for major work, the Mothers chrome polish seems to do a reasonable job for just straight polishing (I use it on my chrome wheels too, comes with the Cragars when you buy them new)

IMHO I would be hesitant to use any polish designed for aluminium etc on chrome, if the chrome is in good condition you would not want any abrasive at all.

I would use either a normal car polish or a specialised chrome polish like Mothers.

ive just got a mothers powercone so il hunt down some of this purple stuff and give it a go

Also L8 is right if your chrome is in good condition window cleaner works well and normal car polish

I have been using a australian product,

Its called hightech deox, made by opal,

I have been using this polish for 16 years,

It polishes all chrome work, stainless steel,

It removes all exhaust gases on rear bumperbars,

And its safe enough to use on the paintwork too,

I highly recommened this polish for fantastic results.

Cheers.

I have used a 3M chrome polish on a set of front and rear bars that came up a treat.

Good stuff.

I have also tried Purple and Mothers for aluminium on the bars and it is crap by comparison. A lot of rubbing for little result.
Basically use the right stuff for the right application and it should come up apples

hi guys just my two cents worth, i admit to having a interest in this brand its called surf city garage car care products. Btw we are a proud sponsor of the vic torana club. We actually have about 5 different metal polishers covering chrome, stainless, and alloy these are all individually composed for the specific metal you want to polish. But they can be used on all metals if required too. We even have a three part metal polisher that firstly cleans then polishes then seals the shine with carnauba wax! take a look at our website www.surfcitygarage.com.au we have the full range and videos demonstrating how easy it is to use.
cheers tony
