Howdy all, this is sort of a Torana/Monaro question in regards to boosters. I am wanting to fit a dual diaphragm booster to my LC but am unsure exactly what I should do. I have in my shed a VH312 (Monaro) booster. This has the long shaft, but if modified will fit Torana. I was told that HT-HG had the long shaft and HK had the short shaft. There is one on Ebay at the moment that is listed as HK-T-G, it looks to me as if it has a short shaft. It is listed as VH300, can anybody tell me what this is off? and if it is short shaft will it fit straight in the LC?
Also just one more thing, this might be a little obvious to some but I can get my hands on a HK big nut master. Will this be suitable to fit straight to my LC? Thanks all.....

As you have mentioned the 312 is long rod
In fact there are many long rod ones.
There are many part #'s for the short rod one too.
They all seem to cross back to being the same # but there are still 2 differences to them. Rod length to the master
If the HK one listed on ebay is the 95mm long rod with the fork like clevis then it will fit directly to your LC providing you have the cantilever bracket on the firewall
The HK big nut master is the same as the LC one so this will fit directly to the booster

Thanks dattoman, thats very helpful. Just two more things, when you say 95mm for the rod, does that mean from where it comes out of the back of the booster to the very tip of the fork? And will the cantilever bracket from my standard LC booster allow me to fit the booster in question? Thanks again mate.....

Standard cantilever bracket off the LC will fit
95mm is from back cannister of the booster where it bolts to the plate to the centre of the eye hole.
