
Paint Mixing Ratio question

Ie which one out of the 2 following is it....
200ml Clear : 100ml Hardener : 50ml Thinners
or
200ml Clear : 100ml Hardener : 100ml Thinners

Just thought too there could be a 3rd answer...
200ml Clear : 100ml Hardener : 150ml Thinner (that being 50% of the total, Clear + hardener together)

The percentage of reducer is always a percentage of the combined paint and hardener.
So 2:1 plus 50% reducer would be something like 200ml clear 100ml hardener and 150ml reducer.

All paint manufacturers have different recommendations for their products, We have 2 different paint systems at work, one stipulates 10% and no more whereas the other systems recommends 20%, in the second system I'm using 35% just to get it to flow as well as the first 10% system!
People always carry on its not the paint its the painter.......
But not all paints are created equal....some you have to really work to get a nice result
