Hey all,

Well i have the engine in the car now, just slowly putting all the bits back on.

Just a quick question, as it has been so long since i pulled it out, i cant remember if the lower alternator bracket goes in front of the alternator or behind, and which bolt on the timing case cover the other end if it goes too.

Any help here?

Its a 308

I also had a picture from the parts manual to show the rest but the image size was not reducing. It showed that the bracket goes in front of the alternator.

Hey EXLXSL,

Thanks for that, is there any chance of emailing the parts manual image to me? my books dont have it and it has driven me crazy, the bracket i have doesnt look right, wouldnt mind checking the part number.

Hey JNR_ATE, i pulled the car apart sixmonths ago, i even bagged all the bolts etc etc, but whilst it was apart the bolts were moved and plastic bags ripped if you know what i mean, i have been peicing it together with info and images from everywhere slowly! its not like theres heaps of bolts, but you know what i mean!

Had to hunt a bit but the part numbers are;

1 = 9928767
3 = 9928769
And the "brace" is 9928768
