Just out of interest how adjustable are the koni adjustable shocks and how do you adjust them? I'm not talking about those towing air shocks btw.

Can you adjust the compression/rebound seperately? Or is it just a single adjustment (eg soft-stiff)?

Also does anyone have any pics of these?

Are they the same dimensions as regular torana gas shocks (eg monro, pedders etc)? I know the air ones are alot bigger, but I've never seen the proper 'koni adjustables'

here is a web site showing what and how to adjust etc. This was posted a few weeks back by another forum member and seeing that I have adjustable Koni's myself I figured I had best grab the instructions. I have yet to play with mine as they seem set up ok for most street applications. Mine are set on the medium settings - so I am told. They are firm enough for good handling but not as hard as one might set them for full on track use.

Anyway hope this helps.

Handy info
Mine has Koni's in it and I have no idea where they are set
Will have to do some "tuning" once the beast hits the street again

I can take pics if you like....... they look just like regular shocks to me....... just orange

Ive just bolted up a pair in my hatch the other week, for got to take pics before installing them! Ive still got the rear ones in the box, will take pics and post it if you like.
koni shock

Like dattoman said they look like regular shockers. To adjust them you need to drop the out of the front end, compress them and turn the either counter clockwise to get minimal rebound and clock wise to get max rebound. Their the only adjustable shocker koni make for the torana. (Hq use the same front shocks for all you hq lovers out there) I think from factory they are set at 50/50? Not sure what the minimun rebound would be?

They are the same as normal shocks and very easy to adjust. Compress and turn.

Just to clarify tho, I ordered a set of 50/50 adjustables. Is the 50/50 determined by the compress and turn or is there work done on the inside and the compress and turn is just to have a little bit of control over ride comfort?

Because they charge something like $90 a pair to adjust them, if this is just compressing and turning to half way then it is a bloody rip off.

Peace,

Please note with the Koni shocks you can only adjust the rebound rate, not the compression.

Having said that I have seen shocks Koni changed to compression adjustable, but this is by special request only.
