I have been asked if this would be a good transplant into a Torana and if anyone would be interested in buying the setup,
can't find anything using search option so assume it hasn't been done in forum group
details as given to me
Toyota Cresseda
fitted with 1GGZE super charged engine
fuel injected with after market CPU
toyota W 58 5spd
locked diff
it was set up for drifting but only used a couple of times, too heavy
I drove it few yrs back as it was used as a daily road car before diff was done, it was very smooth and responsive but didn't get chance to push it to any degree

Doesn't really seem to be much point using an outdated G series when a 1JZ/2JZ would be almost as easy to fit and would make much more power..
Not to mention the extra litre or so..

1G's arnt particularly awe inspiring going by the ones i have driven.
As oldjohnno said there about the same size so i cant see either being easyer or harder to fit.
Suppose if you can pick up a worked 1G and all the fruit for next to nothing then why not.
Cheers.

A chunky engine with expensive bits like $400+ head gaskets? No thanks.
Seems like a lot of work, but each to their own.

Only milk and juice come in 2 litres!!!!
That setup would go well in an early Celica (TA22/23) or something small and light, but those engines are old and out dated now, good thing in their day but I wouldn't touch one with a barge pole. I would, however, grab a 2JZGTE without hesitation if one came up at the right price.
