I don't know about everyone else but as far as i know mine only has the one speaker just forward of the front left hand passenger door. Sort of tucked away i can take a photo if needed, car is an lx slr with original push button radio that still works!

A rear speaker was also optional. Drivers side of parcel shelf with a balance knob in the dash. My LX SL has this option. Super cool I reckon. I can rock out to AM front and rear

Ooops, just noticed you said LX SLR.... not sure if the option was available on them but I would assume so. Someone will correct me if I am wrong.

ok thanks guys...
When I got mine it had them in the front doors, but since I have ordered new door trims I wont be putting them in there!
Will have to have a look when its back from the panel shop and work out where to put them.

hey mate. iv made my own kick panels with pretty much just semi cirucls cut in the tops of them and fitted 6.5" alpine type s speakers in easy on the passenger side and driver side.its a bit of a squezze on the driverside but its much more tidy then cutting them into the doors.
cheers

I used 4 1/2" Alpines in the front, mounted high on the kick panels.
They sounded ok, wouldn't win any sound-off comps though.

Cant wait to get her back from the panel shop and get stuck into it.
