Homeless Tag - HG350 or anyone else that can help!

HG350 and anyone else that can help,

I bought a shell a little while ago and the bloke I bought it from threw in a body ID tag. The shell itself has no tags at all, but I was wondering if anyone can confirm the shell number (i.e. BLJ35784A) that it came from and perhaps tell me what it was?

Body No. 14240B
Trim - 1846 40Y
Paint - 567 13888

Any help in identifying the owner of this plate (the body I mean) would be appreciated.

Brisbane built LJ GTR 2 door sedan manual transmission.

Zodiac Blue Metallic.

Black vinyl trim with houndstooth seat insert.

BLJ35784A is for an Adelaide built LJ.

Is there anyone that can tell me the body number (the one that is stamped onto the passanger side engine bay rail) that it belongs to?

The only way to know whether it is an XU1 is from the later VIN numbers which used a P engine code, ie 8D11P....J. XU1 can also be stamped in the Eng Code space but not all plants did this.

The earlier ones need the XU1 RPO in the microfiche records.

The Body No on the Body ID plate is part of the PSN which is also part of the later VIN no., ie Body No 22895B, PSN H22895, VIN 8D11PCH22895J.

Having the VIN clarifies alot of info about the trim level, motor, body type etc.

The chassis no is stamped on the ADR Compliance Plate.

There is no way of verifying which body belongs to which chassis without the GMH records.
