G'day All,
I would like to install Extractors onto my UC's 202, but as the engine is a stocker it is running the original EGR system. The Inlet Manifold is bolted to the exhaust Manifold by 3 bolts ( which have naturally rusted on ).
I guess there must be some sort of gallery between the two, for when the EGR opens up to recirculate the exhaust gas, so what would be the ramifications if remove the cast Exhaust Manifold ?. Would there be holes in the bottom of the Inlet Manifold ?
I have a 2BBL Manifold , strommie WW2 and a V8 accelerator cable, so I could always install this if there is a problem .....

Muchas.

IIRC, this is not true. Removing the exhaust manifold would not leave a hole in the intake manifold.

I ran genie extractors on my stock 202 with standard manifold for years, no hole in the bottom! It's personal preference!

Lets let the experts fully answer your question....

My son's UC has extractors and an EGR inlet manifold. The bottom of the inlet manifold has been blanked off as the extactors don't have the pipe fitted to bolt onto the inlet. You can find them with the pipe fitted. There must be a port between the standard manifolds to feed the EGR.
