Do you have a 2 door or 4 door? My mate has an Absinth Yellow 2 door that I should be able to get some pics next weekend. According to following site, the spoilers were optional http://www.uniquecar...n_hj_monaro.htm

G,day all,you just confirmed what i thought about the spoilers Warren, just wanted to make sure they were,nt pinched at one time, but the cars a one owner so that would be surprising.Mr5000 ,that sounds like a nice interior colour your dad had, mine is green with black herringbone inserts.

Firstly welcome to the Forum Paul,

I Can understand your frustration in finding Monaro Specific information on the web.
Unfortunately there does not seem to be a monaro "version" of this wonderful place!

However! We have a massive number of members who share the passion for Monaros as much as they love Toranas and we welcome them all, So i'm sure you will find the info you need here!

I am also part of a wonderful group of friends who formed a (Sydney Based) Club Called MODE - Monaro Owners, Drivers, and Enthusiasts. We have some wonderful members who like all kinds of Monaros and i'm sure you will be able to get some info from us over there as well.

http://monaro.1.forumer.com/

Unfortunately even though i own a HQ, and i have a love of Toranas, my technical knowledge is lacking so i cant answer your question directly!

Cheers

i have a genuine hj 4 door in say it 3 times absynth yellow it was not ordered with spoilers and had an option for vinyl trims and inserts not heringbone with the red stripe.all in black of course. i have some awesome pics of a brand new 4 door in a press release i will try to scan them for you.if you ring the president of the monaro club of south australia he is a wealth of info and decoded my plates for me over the phone he has a copy of the monaro bible but you are right there is no info it is sort of a forgotten model.i took mine to bathurst and raced with team torana at easter.drove it there raced and drove it home.Attached File  2196470140100879470jngFaj_ph.jpg   94.58K   37 downloads

hi!
im no expert on these, but learn a farkton when putting my one back together over the last few years. collected alot of magazines and original pics to see which parts i needed, as ALOT of people seem to get it 'wrong' so to speak. blackouts in the wrong places, wrong stickers, wrong trims, etc etc. even parts on my car i know that are wrong now! <_<
theres no real Monaro forum like this unfortunately, so any questions are best asked on fastlane or oldholden.. or ask here and ill try to help.

il put up some pics shortly of original cars that should help.
