G'day All

Found this in Wheels magazine June 1983 and I thought you might like to compare models and their specs.

They were good to have a look over. One thing I noted though was it listed the LH SL/R 500 as having a 4BBL Stromberg and I am sure they had a Rochester Quadrajet?

Can anyone explain?

Hi Guys.

That listing is wrong on 3 counts.

The LH SL/R 5000, as has already been pointed out has a Rochester Quadrajet, as there is no such animal as a 4 barrel Stromberg.

The LX 5.0 is the same, Rochester not Stromberg.

But, how many A9Xs came out of the factory with a 4 barrel Holley ?

Dr Terry.

Good pickup. Wasn't it only the L34 that came out with the option for the Holley 600 as an option or Holley 780 in the HO package (might have my numbers wrong on the Holleys).

No factory A9X had a holley, and the L34 came standard with a Rochester and HO option of a 780 Holley. Fittment of the HO pack was not allowed to the A9X as it contraveined ADR's.
